• Low particle content of 5 microns or less, found in man-made materials such as polyester.
• Low electrostatic discharge (ESD) which can also cause contamination. Dry wipers will be hot, with high ESD, unless vacuum sealed. Wet wipers are cool, with low ESD.
• Edge treatment designed to reduced the particles coming off in the cleanroom. 

Nitrile gloves have certain properties that make them preferable for cleanroom use.

• High barrier protection
• Low allergic reaction risk
• Ease of motion and fatigue relief as nitrile molds to worker's hands.
